Kayak
I currently paddle a 2012 tan Ocean Kayak Trident 13. I got this kayak from Wild River Outfitters in Virginia Beach. My first sit on top kayak was an Ocean Kayak, a scrambler which I had for a while and then sold when I had no where to store it living on the ship. I narrowed down my choice after attending several demo days held in the area and speaking to different pro staff paddlers for Wilderness Systems and Ocean Kayak. I currently have a scotty rod holder to mount on the rod pod, a anchor trolley installed on the right side.

Safety
For safety I carry a whistle/compass combo for getting anyone's attention, a head lamp with spare batteries in a water proof case, a Yak Attack Visicarbon Pro, and a Cobra VHF marine radio, and aerial flares.
