The Phil.

Names Phil.
Im a back woods old fashioned dude. I like bow hunting, fishing of all types, 4 wheelin, campin, horse back ridin, and just hangin out. I grew up in the hills of Tennessee with my family on a small farm.
I started kayak fishing at a young age, whenever my brother and our friends would hit the Buffalo or Duck river, or float down a creek we always had an assortment of canoes and kayaks. I figured kayaks were a good way of sneaking up on fish, being able to fish in shallower water and find the holes where other fisherman couldnt get to. I fished fresh water in the ponds, rivers, and reservoirs of Tennessee for catfish, panfish, bass, and stripers.
For work Ive done everything from hay fields and tobacco fields to sawmills and logging. Until I joined the Navy in 2006. I got stationed in Virginia as a satlleite communications technician onboard the USS James E Williams (DDG-95.) From there I transferred to the USS WASP (LHD-1) and now I am part of the Navy's Afloat Training Group (ATG.)
After being stationed in VA in 2007 I started getting into saltwater fishing and trying to learn the brackish and inshore water of the area. I got rid of my kayak, being on the ship I didnt have anywhere to keep it and storage costs were adding up so all I did was fish from boats, until I saved up enough to buy another kayak. After trying out many different kayaks at different demo days I finally decided on the Ocean Kayak Trident 13. Since then I have done what I could to learn the area and finding the fish.
Met Alina aka BB in 2009 and we have been stuck together since. After finally talking her into going to a demo day I got her stuck on kayak fishing and she now joins me when she can in her Hurricane Phoenix. Proposed to her February 14th 2016 and she said yes!
Our pack also consists of Tails our chubby 3 year old beagle and Alley our 2 year old crazy cat.
